I began to think that the two on the ground would rot for sure, if they stayed there, and how that would be an awful shame. So, I climbed over the fence, sat down under the tree and enjoyed the sweetest, juiciest peaches I ever ate in my life. We only had fresh fruit once or twice a year and I was very hungry. It didn't occur to me to ask permission. I picked several more peaches, put them in the fold of my shirt and made my way home. My self-control went out the window the minute I thought about those peaches rotting on the ground. So many people, like I did, think that if they have a good reason for doing wrong, then it;s ok.
